This is a Rover P5. It’s a lovely car. It also has 4 doors. For some reason, Rover, in their infinite wisdom (the same wisdom that ultimately forced them to be closed down and parted out to the Chinese) decided to call it a coupe.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

A long time ago I, when I couldn’t afford one, I would have loved to have one of those with the 3.5 V-8. Now, it’s probably crazy expensive to get parts and such for one.
If only EssExTee could be so grossly incandescent

There’s also a sedan with a more sedan-y roofline.

Just another piece of intellectual property
stolen from Rover during BMW’s ownership.

To be fair, Rover was doing mostly everything right in the ‘60s (up until the merger with BMH, but that was their parent company’s call).
Their failure in 2005 was due mainly to mismanagement by the Phoenix consortium, prior underinvestment by BMW, and SAIC usin g delaying tactics on signing the joint venture agreement for over a year while MG Rover burned through cash and ignored other possible partners.
